About the position

The Inside Sales Associate is a motivated and customer service-driven role focused on building relationships with both new and established clients. This position involves coordinating with operations and outside salespeople to ensure customer satisfaction during the order execution process, while also managing purchase orders and quotes. The primary goal is to enhance sales through effective communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty
  • Entering, tracking and following up on purchase orders
  • Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process
  • Understand and demonstrate the product or service to the customer
  • Set and meet sales goals and objectives set by leadership
  • Improve sales skills to increase sales success rates
  • Generate and develop new business to meet specified production goals
  • Maintain and nurture existing client relationships
  • Respond to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Prepare and present sales proposals
  • Plan and manage sales territory
  • Understand and communicate information regarding company products, services, and policies to clients
  • Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of industry product information
  • Negotiate contracts and work agreements
  • Ensure that all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time
  • Provide timely and accurate reports as required
  • Attend and participate in business/trade events that impact business unit
  • Attend and participate in team strategic sales meetings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent
  • One to two years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Self-starter and proactive
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
