About the position

Nexamp is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to join their team, focusing on enrolling new customers in the Community Solar program. This role involves responding to inbound leads through calls, chats, and emails, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining product knowledge to effectively close sales. The position is hybrid, based in either Boston, MA or Chicago, IL, and reports to the Inside Sales Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Respond to a high volume of initial inbound calls, chats, and e-mails of prospective clients and ensure a timely resolution.
• Create inbound customer leads in our CRM and nurture these leads to close.
• Conduct energy use/cost analyses to ensure Community Solar subscribers are receiving benefits tailored to their needs.
• Process customers that have signed contracts through our online registration process by ensuring customer eligibility and finalizing enrollment.
• Follow up on digitally generated leads via phone and email at various points in the sales funnel and nurture these leads to close.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent working experience.
• 1 year of previous professional work experience is preferred.
• Prior experience specifically in the energy sector, education, or sales is a plus.
• Spanish language fluency is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM platform.
• Exhibit excellent oral communication skills and professionalism in providing best in class customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
• Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization.
• Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
• Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders.
