About the position

The Inside Sales Associate at Nucor Steel Berkeley is responsible for managing customer accounts and facilitating the processing of customer claims related to quality and accounts receivable. This role emphasizes building strong customer relationships and ensuring effective communication across various departments to enhance commercial excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts and facilitate the acceptance and processing of customer claims for quality and accounts receivable.
• Provide responsive service and build strong customer relationships with an emphasis on commercial excellence.
• Enter accurate orders and proactively solve problems while communicating effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate efforts to resolve claims with customers, metallurgists, sales, and accounts receivable teams.
• Work with field claim buyers to resell claimed material while maximizing profitability.
• Manage inventory levels and collaborate with the scheduler to ensure efficient production.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers and handle various aspects involved with customer accounts.
• Assist in all functions of customer service as needed.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Familiarity with the manufacturing process, product characteristics, and customer base.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Comprehension of inventory control.

• 4-year degree in Business Administration or a related field.
