Responsibilities

  • Listen to understand customer needs and recognize opportunities.
  • Solve problems and recommend solutions to customers.
  • Reach out via phone and email to leads from various campaigns.
  • Qualify leads and secure meetings for frontline sales counterparts.
  • Develop a follow-up process and build relationships with sales reps.
  • Maintain and grow a sales pipeline.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of inside sales, telemarketing, or customer interaction experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet software, and email.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and resilient temperament.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2-4 years of inside sales or telemarketing experience.
  • Track record of over-achieving sales goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence account decision makers.
  • Strong phone presence with experience making 45-60 calls per day.
  • Experience working with a CRM database.
  • Ability to rapidly build knowledge of Johnson Controls' product lines.
