About the position

The Inside Sales Business Development role at PenTeleData focuses on both warm and cold calling to enhance customer relationships and drive new client growth. The position requires engaging with existing customers to identify their needs, re-contracting, and up-selling services, while also managing inbound sales leads. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, particularly in telecommunications, and will be responsible for achieving quota goals through effective communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct warm calls to existing customers to identify additional needs and promote services.
  • Perform cold calls to attract new clients and expand the customer base.
  • Handle inbound sales leads for both new and existing customers as necessary.
  • Achieve quota goals through effective outbound calling and customer engagement.
  • Ensure customer awareness of the full suite of PenTeleData products and services.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field preferred.
  • Established residency in Pennsylvania.
  • Previous sales experience is essential.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of desktop computer applications.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com is a plus.
  • Understanding of data, internet, and voice services is necessary.
  • Knowledge of technology related to routers, hubs, and switches is a plus.
  • Understanding of Ethernet networking and Wi-Fi is beneficial.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.
