About the position

The Inside Sales Consultant at Cardinal Health is responsible for driving sales and services to both new and existing customers through direct communication, either face-to-face or via telephone. This role focuses on meeting individual and organizational sales objectives, particularly in the Specialty Pharma Distribution sector. The consultant will engage in strategic initiatives, manage emergency order escalations, and collaborate with various teams to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and services to new and existing customers through face-to-face or telephone contact.
• Lead Specialty Pharma Distribution portion of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with customers.
• Consult on Specialty Pharma Distribution trends and purchasing analysis.
• Manage emergency order escalations for critical patients, including a 24/7 emergency on-call ordering service.
• Develop opportunities to grow revenue and margin through manufacturer partnerships.
• Lead targeted initiatives and participate in pressure testing strategies prior to team launch.
• Manage late night escalations to the appropriate team.
• Lead key strategic initiatives, driving results through team meetings and achieving commitments.
• Identify new opportunities within existing business.
• Execute and enhance mentoring programs for new hires.

Requirements

• Proven background in Pharmaceutical Consultative Selling.
• Health system account management experience.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Experience in sales reporting.
• Networking and relationship building skills.
• Ability to multitask and troubleshoot effectively.
• Product knowledge within Rare Disease, Oncology, Hemophilia, and Vaccines is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Specialty Pharma Distribution.
• Familiarity with market knowledge including shortages and products coming to market.
