This hybrid position, based in Cincinnati, OH, requires the individual to work three days a week in the office while allowing for remote work on other days. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating leads and developing a robust sales pipeline that aligns with the company's budget and key performance indicators (KPIs). This role involves strategic support for client interactions from lead generation through to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring a quality pipeline foundation is established. The Inside Sales Representative will prioritize opportunities based on profitability, customer timelines, and market segmentation. They will track lead opportunities resulting from marketing campaigns, assess their effectiveness, and take necessary actions to follow up on potential leads. The role also requires effective collaboration with the Market-Based Sales Team to align sales strategies with team performance and budgetary goals. The representative will leverage the Omnicare Value Proposition to build initial relationships with prospects, ensuring that appropriate sales materials and strategies are provided to support positive client interactions. In addition to lead generation, the Inside Sales Representative will assist in preparing proposals and presentations, support contractual negotiations, and maintain data integrity within the customer relationship management system. Regular participation in pipeline reviews and discussions with management and key stakeholders is expected, along with ongoing assessment of risks and opportunities in the market. The representative will also be responsible for maintaining professional knowledge through workshops and industry engagement, ensuring they stay informed about competitive threats and market leadership status.

Responsibilities

  • Generate leads and contribute to pipeline development aligned with respective budget as measured by key performance indicators (KPI's) within Market-Based Sales Team.
  • Prioritize opportunities based upon profitability, customer timelines and market segmentation.
  • Track lead opportunities resulting from marketing campaigns and report on campaign effectiveness.
  • Align overall sales strategy with Market Team Performance to budget.
  • Leverage the Omnicare Value Proposition to develop initial relationships with prospects.
  • Ensure quality pipeline foundation by providing appropriate sales materials and strategy to support positive client interface during needs and discovery through contract negotiation and close.
  • Assist Market-Based Sales Team with the preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Support efficient contractual negotiations by leveraging salesforce contract initiation form (CIF) process with appropriate escalations.
  • Utilize the customer relationship management system and available marketing and sales effectiveness tools and resources effectively.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the market-based team through collaboration and communication with Sales Executives and other key stakeholders.
  • Participate in pipeline reviews and discussions with direct manager and other key stakeholders.
  • Assess risks and opportunities and partner to create appropriate action plans.
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of competitive threats and share this information to maintain market leadership status.
  • Maintain data integrity in the customer relationship management system.
  • Participate in Trade Shows, Conventions, and other industry programs to source leads.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven sales education or experience with a track record of achieving results.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytic skills and solid business acumen.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of computers in a Windows/Microsoft Office environment, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
