Waters Corporation is seeking a driven, self-starting, entrepreneurial-minded Sales Development Representative to join our North American market team. This position is ideal for a seasoned sales professional who is excited about the opportunity to build out a market and self-generate opportunities for organic growth within a subscription-based sales channel. The role involves building relationships and rapport while presenting service products that provide strong ROI for our customers' laboratories. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for market and territory development, which includes cold-call prospecting and relationship building with potential customers. You will present, sell, and place service products and service contracts to both new and existing customers within your territory. Additionally, you will schedule and deliver in-practice demonstrations and presentations of the product to customers through remote interactions and, in some instances, live interactions. Maintaining activity levels capable of hitting targeted demonstration and sales plans is crucial, as is building and maintaining relationships with your customers to foster a mutual partnership of success. This position requires you to own your territory as a small business entrepreneur, focusing on consistent organic growth within our vast install base. You will be expected to demonstrate strong negotiation and closing skills, as well as the determination and ingenuity to overcome obstacles. The role also requires a willingness to travel up to 25% for customer visits and internal meetings or training.
