About the position

The Sales Development Representative at GE Digital plays a crucial role in the business development organization by connecting customers with innovative technologies aimed at decarbonizing the planet. This position involves profiling and prospecting for new customers, qualifying opportunities, and executing account-based marketing and sales activities. The representative will collaborate with sales account managers to build a robust pipeline of new and existing customers, contributing to the company's mission of sustainability and efficiency in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver a point of view on how GE Digital can help prospective customers
  • Navigate complex organizations to find the right prospects and deliver compelling value propositions
  • Leverage sales tools to manage prospect volumes through emails, calls, and social selling techniques
  • Collaborate to secure and host meetings with new customers
  • Achieve monthly qualification goals and communicate them verbally and in writing
  • Continuously learn about GE Digital products and their value
  • Articulate the value GE Digital brings to the market in all communications
  • Overcome common sales objections to foster compelling conversations
  • Conduct research to stay informed about existing and new markets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in B2B software sales
  • Technical degree (engineering or business IT preferred) or a minimum of 2 years' sales experience in B2B software sales
  • Interest or expertise in consultative and solution prospecting/selling
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and technological proficiency (MS Office, Salesforce, Outreach)
  • Outcome-driven team player
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive team environment
