About the position

The Sales Development Representative at GE Digital plays a crucial role in the business development organization, focusing on connecting customers with technologies that aid in decarbonization efforts. This position involves profiling and prospecting for new customers, qualifying opportunities, and executing account-based marketing and sales activities. The representative will collaborate with sales account managers to build a pipeline of new logos and expand existing customer portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver a point of view on how GE Digital can help prospective customers.
  • Navigate complex organizations to find the right prospects and deliver compelling value propositions to solve their pain points.
  • Leverage sales tools to effectively manage prospect volumes through emails, dials, and social selling techniques to generate new sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate to secure and host meetings with new customers.
  • Achieve monthly qualification goals and share them verbally and in written format.
  • Continuously learn about GE Digital products, the roadmap, and how they deliver value.
  • Articulate the value GE Digital brings to the market in all communications.
  • Overcome common sales objections to develop compelling conversations.
  • Conduct research to stay informed about existing markets and grow knowledge about new ones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in B2B software sales.
  • Technical degree (engineering or business IT preferred) or a minimum of 2 years' sales experience in B2B software sales.
  • Interest or expertise in consultative and solution prospecting/selling.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and technological proficiency (MS Office, Salesforce, Outreach).
  • Outcome-driven team player.
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive team environment.
