About the position

Join Indelco Plastics as an Inside Sales/Driver/Warehouse Associate, where you will play a crucial role in our operations by driving a truck with a capacity under 5 tons (10,000 lbs) to transport materials in both raw and packaged forms. Your responsibilities will include delivering products to various destinations such as plants, construction sites, and offices, while also providing essential support to our warehouse operations. This position requires a blend of driving, customer service, and warehouse duties, making it a dynamic role within our team. In this position, you will coordinate daily deliveries with the Delivery Coordinator, ensuring that products are transported to the correct locations. You will be responsible for loading products onto delivery trucks, double-checking against shipping papers for accuracy, and unloading products at customer premises. Additionally, you will collect payments for cash-on-delivery (COD) orders and obtain signatures for receipt of goods delivered. Safety is paramount, and you will conduct daily inspections of the delivery truck, maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Your role will also involve receiving products by unloading vehicles, inspecting goods for discrepancies or damage, and conveying products to designated storage areas. You will assemble customer orders from stock and assist with general warehouse upkeep, including organizing inventory and maintaining a clean work environment. This position requires effective communication skills, as you will inform customers about available products and assist City Desk personnel as needed. You will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor, Sales Manager, and Customer Service Manager, contributing to a collaborative and efficient workplace.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily deliveries with the Delivery Coordinator to ensure timely transportation of products.
• Properly load products and materials onto delivery trucks to prevent damage during shipment, verifying accuracy against shipping papers.
• Deliver and unload products at customer locations, collecting payments for COD orders and obtaining signatures for receipt of goods.
• Inspect the delivery truck daily, checking tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, and complete Vehicle Maintenance Request forms as needed.
• Represent Indelco Plastics by wearing company-authorized clothing and maintaining a professional appearance.
• Keep an updated truck driver log and necessary paperwork, complying with legal requirements for driving.
• Maintain safe driving practices, noting road conditions and product load, and adhering to company policies and highway regulations.
• Receive products by unloading vehicles, accepting deliveries, and conveying products to designated storage areas according to predetermined sequences.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets or shelves for shipping.
• Inspect received goods for discrepancies or damage and report findings to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Assist with general warehouse upkeep, including sweeping floors, breaking down pallets, and organizing inventory shelves.
• Ensure walkways and loading docks are clear of ice and snow for safety.
• Inform customers of available products via phone or face-to-face interactions at the City Desk.
• Assist City Desk personnel and Warehouse staff as needed, performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Self-motivated, demonstrating the ability to work consistently and under minimal supervision.
• Ability to locate missing products in the warehouse and backtrack actions of other employees.
• Valid driver's license.
