About the position

The Inside Sales Engineer at Winn-Marion Companies is responsible for selling and introducing new products or services to established clients. This role involves fielding customer inquiries regarding product specifications, availability, and pricing, while also providing support to Outside Sales Representatives. The Inside Sales Engineer will troubleshoot and offer product solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Field customer calls and questions regarding product specifications, availability, and pricing.
  • Provide support to Outside Sales Representatives by building quotations and communicating pertinent information to customers.
  • Assist with the overall coordination of product delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and provide product solutions for customer needs.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, and other departments to provide technical solutions and meet delivery expectations.
  • Maintain knowledge of company products and recommend products for various applications.
  • Respond to customer and outside sales requests for price quotations, order entry, and placement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure proper support and a positive customer experience.
  • Manage customer relations and order/quote through the CRM tool HubSpot.
  • Discuss credit terms, price quotes, and prepare sales order reports or forms.
  • Work with vendors to obtain information regarding pricing and specifications as needed.
  • Answer all calls in a timely manner.
  • Participate in training sessions, meetings, and professional development classes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • 1-3 years of Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering experience or related sales experience preferred in the absence of a degree.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with measurement and process automation equipment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; previous experience with a CRM preferred.
