A Manufacturer in South Carolina is seeking a Sales Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and have 2-3 years of engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing or chemical facilities. The position is permanent and offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 per year, along with relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for interacting with assigned key accounts, establishing excellent relationships, and managing sales activities for the product lines. This includes working on key account-related statistics and developing these metrics. The role also involves preparing quotes and supporting documentation, following up with customers, and ensuring effective after-sales communication. The position may require domestic and international travel to support sales efforts, perform customer site assessments, attend trade shows, and engage in in-depth training. In addition to sales responsibilities, the Sales Engineer will act as a Project Manager on engineering bid packages and orders, overseeing projects from inception to completion. This includes ensuring customer satisfaction with product quality, delivery timelines, and supporting documentation. The Sales Engineer will also communicate with various departments and applicable subsidiaries to provide the best customer support, both technical and commercial, and will offer technical and commercial support to regional managers and representatives.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with assigned key accounts and establish excellent relationships.
  • Manage sales activity for the product lines.
  • Work on key account related statistics and develop these metrics.

  • Ensure effective after-sales communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or chemical facilities.
  • Experience in manufacturing sales engineering and product application.
  • Strong production engineering skills.
