About the position

The Inside Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the sales force by providing technical support, processing orders, and responding to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. This position is integral to driving revenue growth and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and collaboration with various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely response to inquiries for price, delivery, and product information.
  • Prepare formal quotations and process sales orders.
  • Create pick tickets and provide alternate products and solutions to meet customer design or time constraints.
  • Respond to customer return requests and create/process RMA forms.
  • Handle initial quality concern related communications with the customer.
  • Provide light duty application work including sizing and compatibility.
  • Follow direction of leadership related to inventory management and operating model core values.
  • Collaborate with management and sales colleagues to identify development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and warehouse personnel as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary for the sales role.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations, and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Capable of learning and using QuickBooks and/or other ERP systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
