We are in search of an Inside Sales Engineer to manage all aspects of their assigned domestic sales territories. This individual will support overall sales objectives by meeting the current needs and expectations of customers, maximizing sales in the assigned territory, and potentially managing a distributor or manufacturer's representative. We are an established Westerville-based global leader supporting advanced scientific research in measurement and control solutions that drive the discovery and development of new materials for tomorrow's technologies. The Inside Sales Engineer will manage all aspects of assigned direct sales territory within North America, which includes conducting technical analysis of customer applications and requirements, evaluating and processing customer RFQs, quality, and export requirements, issuing budgetary estimates and quotations, reviewing purchase orders with terms and conditions, and taking orders while issuing order entry and export compliance documentation. This role also involves providing customer support during the manufacturing process, coordinating order shipment schedules, and supporting customer facilities with site preparation and equipment installation guidance. Additionally, the Inside Sales Engineer will manage post-installation operational service and support, work with customers, dealers, or sales representatives to maximize sales, and coordinate support for all customers with Inside Sales, Marketing, Technical Service, Accounting, and other departments. The position requires preparing sales forecasts, planning and coordinating travel by company staff in support of customers, and traveling up to 10% to visit with customers or attend trade shows to support their activities and maximize sales. The Inside Sales Engineer will also be responsible for scheduling and coordinating visits to the company by customers and responding to daily correspondence from customers to resolve problems. A working knowledge of the established sales process from lead conversion to close is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of assigned direct sales territory within North America.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related scientific discipline OR Associate of Science degree with 2+ years applicable technical sales experience OR 5+ years applicable technical sales experience.
