About the position

The Inside Sales Engineer position focuses on supporting the outside sales team in various capacities, including application design, quoting, procurement, and project management tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring that the sales team has the necessary technical support to provide accurate and timely solutions to customers. The position is based in Dallas, NC, which is located approximately 25 miles northwest of Charlotte. The Inside Sales Engineer will work closely with the outside sales team to assist in equipment selections and provide precise customer quotes, ensuring that all customer needs are met effectively. In addition to supporting the sales team, the Inside Sales Engineer will oversee filtration projects from their conception through the manufacturing process. This involves a deep understanding of industrial filtration systems and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The role requires exceptional time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to communicate proficiently both over the phone and in person. The Inside Sales Engineer will also be expected to promote a collaborative team approach between engineering, outside sales, and inside sales, fostering a productive work environment. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Outside Sales team to assist with equipment selections and provide accurate customer quotes.
  • Oversee filtration projects from conception through the manufacturing process.

  • Continuously enhance professional technical expertise through attendance at educational workshops and vendor training sessions.

Requirements

  • Proficient in both phone and impersonal communication.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiar with industrial filtration.
  • Demonstrates exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
  • Collaborative team member.
  • Possesses strong mechanical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar type of degree.
  • Experience with rotating equipment and filtration is a plus.
  • Experience in industrial distribution is a plus.
  • Knowledge of understanding of mechanical systems required.
  • Must know and understand project specifications, engineering drawings, and takeoffs.
