The Inside Sales Manager (ISM) is responsible for managing a sales territory and leading a team of Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) within the Human Capital Management (HCM) sector at Paychex. This role is pivotal in driving sales performance and operational excellence through effective coaching, development, and implementation of a territory sales plan that leverages high-velocity selling motions. The ISM will focus on creating a demand generation plan aimed at achieving sales quotas while ensuring that the team operates within budgeted financial guidelines. In addition to managing the sales team, the ISM will be accountable for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new sales talent. They will conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching to enhance the selling skills of the ISRs, ensuring consistency and improvement in sales performance. The ISM will also oversee the daily activities and key performance indicators (KPIs) of the inside sales team, directing staff to meet or exceed corporate goals. This includes monitoring sales forecasts and taking corrective actions when necessary to ensure targets are met. The ISM will play a crucial role in identifying potential management candidates within the team and will be responsible for their promotion path. They will represent the corporation positively to clients and the community, ensuring that the team maintains a professional image. Additionally, the ISM will ensure the accuracy of weekly activity reports and audit commission and expense reports, fostering a culture of proactivity, resilience, and accountability within the team.
