About the position

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for increasing market awareness, sales, and profitability for Cryoport Systems by expanding the number of solicited inquiries and improving the conversion rate of opportunities with prospective and existing accounts. This role involves proactively identifying Request for Proposals (RFPs) and securing new business revenue for the company's products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts and individual targets.
  • Solicit new accounts and build rapport with potential clients.
  • Provide company information and explanations to clients, preparing hand-offs to the sales team.
  • Participate with the Chief Commercial Officer & VP of Commercial Operations to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  • Cold-call prospective accounts and individuals, providing technical product information and preparing client-specific call scripts.
  • Support management in determining service viability and work with internal teams to meet client needs.
  • Influence the decision-making process of potential clients and develop strategies to address client objections.
  • Ensure sales targets are achieved by establishing client outreach strategies and maintaining follow-up with prospects.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, and delivery schedules.
  • Attend internal business development calls and meetings to discuss new opportunities and the sales pipeline.
  • Set up and attend client calls as needed.
  • Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, VP of Commercial Operations, and Business Development team to penetrate existing key accounts.
  • Maintain and manage data collection and sales team compliance with NetSuite CRM for all sales activity.
  • Generate and maintain KPIs from NetSuite CRM to highlight increases in meetings and new account penetration.
  • Provide updates to the business development team on activity and conversations with prospective clients.
  • Generate client interest for potential webinars and industry meetings.
  • Participate in the review of Cryoport business development procedures for consistency.
  • Review metrics on a weekly or monthly basis to assess productivity.
  • Learn and communicate Cryoport differentiators to clients.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge and participate in relevant business societies.
  • Effectively present information to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of five years sales experience in logistics or healthcare field.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM platforms, with NetSuite being a plus.
  • Understanding of the requirements and specifications in the logistics and/or pharmaceutical field.
