About the position

PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building supply products, is seeking a reliable and hard-working Inside Sales Manager to work in our corporate office located in Irving, Texas, responsible for the Texas market. The Inside Sales Manager will play a crucial role in developing people and initiatives to drive profitable growth throughout their managed district. This position requires effective communication with remote teams regarding our go-to-market strategy and any technical process changes or enhancements. The ideal candidate must be a super user in all required tools and products, fostering a positive working environment for their teams while promoting a high-energy winning culture. The Inside Sales Manager will own the recruiting, onboarding, development, and promotion of talent within their managed district. They will gather insights from their team to communicate upward, driving effective change while constantly evaluating for efficiency gaps and process improvements. Training the team on business technologies such as Salesforce and SAP, sales techniques, and product knowledge will be a key responsibility. The manager will align with District Sales Managers (DSM's) and Regional Vice Presidents (RVP's) to identify any support gaps or opportunities. Additionally, the Inside Sales Manager must develop conversation skills, sales techniques, and customer service levels through live and recorded call coaching. They will drive price capture within managed markets and must understand all market conditions and trends. Creating a team culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement is essential to generate sales. The manager will also develop and leverage their Inside Sales Representatives (ISR) Leads to effectively oversee the day-to-day operations of remote distribution centers (DC's) managed. Performance metrics for individuals and teams will be managed to identify development opportunities and performance gaps. The Inside Sales Manager will analyze data to identify underpenetrated markets and target them with sales blitzes to generate direct sales and leads for the field sales team. They will conduct in-person and webex trainings around product, sales, and customer service, and will be responsible for credit and price block approvals. Supporting local DC as an individual contributor as time permits, including working remotely from other DC's (50-75% of the time), is also part of the role. Conducting performance reviews as needed, along with mandatory quarterly and annual reviews for all reporting employees, will be required. Establishing a management culture around self-direction and empowerment is crucial, as is the responsibility for scheduling and timesheet approvals. The Inside Sales Manager will also work on other projects as assigned by their manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Liberal Arts preferred.
  • 2 - 4 years related experience and/or training.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CRM systems.
  • Company Reporting Software, Internet Software, Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
  • Knowledge of I-Pad use helpful.
  • SAP preferred.
