About the position

The Inside Sales Manager oversees the Inside Sales department, focusing on developing and implementing business relationships with customers. This role involves planning, directing, and supporting all inside sales strategies, functions, and initiatives while managing and mentoring the inside sales team to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Inside Sales department and manage inside sales and customer service representatives.
  • Analyze marketing trends, sales history, and demographic information to establish pricing and prepare proposals.
  • Collect and analyze data on competitors' market positions.
  • Assist with sales negotiations and attend sales presentations to help close deals.
  • Manage large, high-profile customer accounts as appropriate.
  • Ensure inside sales employees receive necessary product, system, and selling-skills training.
  • Continually improve the effectiveness of the inside sales organization.
  • Develop and coordinate inside sales selling cycle and methodology.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Promote positive relations with partners and distributors.
  • Collaborate with department managers and corporate staff to develop future business strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a sales leadership role, with at least 4 years in selling.
  • Experience in new business development activities, including customer interaction and acquisition processes.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  • Experience in structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
  • Fasteners experience is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and persuasion skills.
  • Experience using ERP and CRM systems.
