About the position

As an Inside Sales Manager at Teledyne Technologies, you will be integral to our sales operations, ensuring effective communication between customers and the factory. This role focuses on responding to customer inquiries about product pricing, lead times, and order statuses, while also resolving customer issues and maintaining strong client relationships. You will collaborate closely with the Sales and commercial leader to ensure compliance with SOX regulations and manage service contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely response to customer inquiries on product pricing, lead time, and order status.
  • Act as liaison between factory and Sales.
  • Serve as initial point of contact to resolve customer issues.
  • Data entry in ERP, customer portals, customer databases, quotation, and sales history data files.
  • Update and maintain Distribution and Manufacture Representatives agreement.
  • Maintain and organize price lists.
  • Review new purchase orders against quote for accuracy and SOX compliance.
  • Coordinate with GTC on export matters and licensing requirements as appropriate.
  • Manage new customer set-up process.
  • Manage assigned accounts by understanding customer needs, offering the 'best solution' and continuous follow-up.
  • Maintain and organize customer NDAs and contracts as required.
  • Maintain service contracts capturing contract tenure, renewal, spares consumed, support hours log, etc.
  • Support with marketing tasks, as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; combination of education and experience acceptable.
  • 2-5 years Inside Sales or Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency with VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc. preferred.
  • Experience working within a commercial customer base preferred.
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
