About the position

The Inside Sales Manager at Spectrum Plastics Group is responsible for managing customer orders and ensuring effective communication between the company and its clients. This role focuses on maintaining order accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and supporting the sales team with pricing and contracts. The position aims to maximize production efficiency while meeting customer expectations for timely product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and acknowledge customer orders within 24 hours and send shipment confirmation notices.
  • Verify customer orders for accuracy and resolve discrepancies internally or with the customer.
  • Engage with field-based sales personnel to align customer expectations.
  • Enter customer orders in the ERP system and collaborate with scheduling and purchasing teams.
  • Maintain regular contact with named accounts to capture forecast updates and communicate changes in price and terms.
  • Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure the forecast file is up-to-date and reflects total business available to the plant.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process to establish monthly order expectations.
  • Compile information to write and present Statements of Work (SOW) and quotes for engineering projects.
  • Support quoting for new components and keep Salesforce.com updated.
  • Assist in transitioning to a new ERP system and transferring commercial data.
  • Perform marketing support tasks, including lead management and trade show support.
  • Represent the commercial function in Quality Management System reviews.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of customer service, account management, or sales experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Clear and concise communication skills via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Knowledge of inside sales and account management concepts and practices.
  • Ability to problem solve and perform research with general guidance.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Salesforce.com for order entry and quote management.
  • Ability to handle deadlines and expedited situations professionally.
  • Comprehension of company safety and quality standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ERP systems and Salesforce.com.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and environments.
