About the position

The Inside Sales Operations Admin at SHI International Corp. plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team and ensuring customer satisfaction by managing overflow work. This position involves a variety of process-driven tasks that are essential for the smooth operation of the sales department. The Admin will be responsible for managing communications, placing orders, and utilizing business application software to field requests from customers. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the company, as they will be exposed to various aspects of sales operations and customer relationship management. In this position, the Admin will assist with maintaining data consistency in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, field requests from SHI.com, and ensure that these requests are directed to the appropriate sales teams. The role also includes requesting information from vendors regarding invoices, pricing, and order status, as well as processing overflow work from the sales team. This may involve placing orders, working on renewal opportunities, creating vendors and parts for AX, and handling modifications requested by customers through Ariba (e-procurement). The Inside Sales Operations Admin will engage regularly with the Inside Sales team, Partner teams, and Vendors to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This position reports directly to the Inside Sales Manager of Operations and is based in the Somerset, NJ office. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data consistency
  • Fielding SHI.com requests from customers and forwarding to correct sales teams
  • Requesting information from vendors, such as invoices, pricing and order status
  • Processing overflow work from the sales team or operations, such as placing orders and working on Renewal opportunities
  • Creating vendors and parts for AX
  • Forwarding Ariba (e-procurement) modifications from customers asking for a change to their current orders
  • Handling warehouse voicemails and other duties as requested
  • Order entry, receiving and responding to e-mails and collecting order status
  • Regular engagement with Inside Sales, Partner teams and Vendors

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Possess an upbeat attitude
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Ability to absorb new knowledge on a daily basis
  • Ability to multi-task and complete projects in an expeditious and comprehensive manner
  • Ability to clearly communicate and effectively work well with others
  • Ability to understand tools: MySHI, AX, BI, CRM, SharePoint and quoting
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Desire to learn more new skills
  • Ability to understand and work in the following applications/platforms: Office (specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Nice-to-haves

  • Some college preferred
  • Customer service and/or customer-facing experience
  • Well-rounded working knowledge of SHI's tools: MySHI, AX, BI, CRM, SharePoint, and quoting
  • Proficiency in the following applications/platforms: Office (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Windows OS experience is a plus
