About the position

The Inside Sales - Outbound Business Development Representative is responsible for generating and qualifying leads to support the outbound sales team. This hybrid position involves both in-office and remote work, focusing on achieving sales targets through effective communication and relationship-building with prospective customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, generate, qualify, process and follow up on leads and appointment setting for outbound sales team.
  • Collaboratively work with the sales, marketing team and leadership to develop lead generation strategies to generate lead opportunities with prospective customers.
  • Initiate lead/demand generation strategies that include inbound/outbound sales and marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide consistent, concise, accurate internal and external communications.
  • Effectively communicate and present the RRD value proposition to customers.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
  • Successfully identify the appropriate contacts.
  • Generate interest and identify needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships both internally and client facing.
  • Achieve sales lead gen and appointment quotas or any other metrics as defined by specific programs.
  • Act as an ambassador for all of RRD's products and services.
  • Responsible for making a minimum number of outbound calls on a daily basis using data provided.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager and Sales team to ensure leads are generated within various business platforms.
  • Convert calls to new business leads.
  • Achieve defined personal and departmental targets captured from calling data provided.
  • Be proactive in identifying opportunities for new business.
  • Input and maintain all activities using Salesforce.
  • Ensure service is prompt, polite and professional at all times.
  • Assist with other departments and duties as required.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant administrative/operational support in sales/prospecting.
  • Knowledge of technology including computers and software programs such as MS Office or MAC word processing, spreadsheets, Salesforce or other programs specific to the job.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent knowledge of functional area(s) related to the job or good knowledge related to a professional field of work.
