About the position

The Inside Sales Rep/Account Manager at AMTRACO is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and prospects in the surface finishing industry. This role emphasizes the importance of sales as a numbers game, where the ability to persuade and follow up effectively is crucial for success. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of articulating ideas clearly to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop rapport and maintain strong working relationships with existing customers and prospects.
  • Articulate ideas clearly and concisely to customers.
  • Utilize excellent persuasion skills to influence customer decisions.
  • Follow up diligently with prospects, understanding that multiple touches are often required to convert them into customers.
  • Leverage the customer service team to ensure customer needs are met and nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven previous sales success or demonstrated discipline and drive to succeed in sales.
  • Experience in business-to-business sales environments is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and various software applications.
  • Self-motivated with minimal need for direction.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the surface finishing industry is a major plus.
