About the position

UWorld is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to drive new business opportunities within the College Readiness division. This role focuses on expanding the institutional business through direct outreach and relationship management, ensuring that educational institutions secure UWorld's high-quality practice resources for their students. The representative will engage with potential customers via various communication channels and collaborate with internal teams to support post-sales activities and customer retention.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales goals through new account development and retention of existing customers.
  • Execute on UWorld Goals and Initiatives.
  • Research potential sales opportunities within the assigned territory to target key contacts.
  • Source new sales opportunities through new and existing leads.
  • Collaborate with Technical Account Managers to process quotes and close sales.
  • Prospect and build a sales pipeline utilizing email, phone, trade show leads, face-to-face, and inbound website leads.
  • Work with UWorld's training and implementation team to manage all post-sales activities and ensure year-over-year retention sales revenue.
  • Communicate and document market insights, feedback, and customer takeaways with other UWorld teams.
  • Prioritize meetings with decision makers and conduct on-site presentations and sales demos.
  • Conduct webinar presentations.
  • Adapt to changes associated with a fast-growing sales organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science, marketing, communications, business, or relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of sales experience.
  • Experience in Education Technology, SaaS, or Publishing preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate proprietary software and utilize CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and curiosity about future educational industry needs.
  • Proven track record of success in sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for problem solving with a consultative sales approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, prioritizing, organizing, and time management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Goal-oriented, focused, strategic, and actively engaged in assigned territory.
  • Proficient in MS Office or similar software; experience with Salesforce.com is a plus.
