About the position

The Inside Sales Representative for Ballistics at Element U.S. Space & Defense is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing high-volume RFQ demands and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role focuses on building strong relationships with clients, effectively qualifying leads, and collaborating with internal teams to meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize revenue from both new and existing clients through proactive selling techniques.
  • Accurately qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline, ensuring effective follow-up from RFQ receipt to PO issuance.
  • Engage in discussions with potential clients to align our solutions with their needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Identify opportunities within customer accounts through outbound calls, communications, and other engagement activities.
  • Conduct post-sale follow-up activities to ensure customer satisfaction and explore additional opportunities.
  • Work closely with Operations, Subject Matter Experts, and Application Engineers to capture business and facilitate service execution.
  • Ensure all PO paperwork is accurate before submission and inform management of all activities through timely and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of our products and services to answer client questions effectively.
  • Participate in meetings, contribute to sales improvement initiatives, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience
  • Proven track record of successful sales
  • Demonstrated ability to penetrate and expand existing customer relationships and develop outbound sales prospects
  • Ability to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts
  • Ability to plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the 'return-on-time' investment for the ballistic services

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in technical or industrial markets
  • Proven track record of successful sales, preferably in ballistic testing, defense, or a related technical field
  • Technical knowledge of ballistic testing or related industries is highly preferred
