About the position

The Inside Sales Representative for New Member Sales at Armed Forces Insurance is responsible for engaging with potential and current insureds to educate them about the company's products and services. This role focuses on finding the best coverage options tailored to the unique needs of clients, all while working in a fast-paced office environment. The position allows for a significant amount of telecommuting after the initial training period, making it a flexible opportunity for those who enjoy helping others.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with potential and current insureds to educate them about products and services.
  • Find the best coverage options for clients' unique needs.
  • Multitask and use multiple systems effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a courteous and confident demeanor in all communications.

Requirements

  • 4 years of customer service experience in a financial services environment, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to 4 years.
  • Ability to obtain a state agent's license within 90 days of employment.
  • Completion of insurance designation or equivalent professional designation within 33 months if prior experience is not met.
  • Keyboard skills of at least 35 wpm.
  • Competent written and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a licensed representative in a property/casualty insurance company.
