About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative at Airgas is responsible for selling industrial medical and specialty gases, welding equipment, power and hand tools, and safety supplies to a diverse clientele, including hospitals and research facilities. This role emphasizes excellent customer service, effective communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. The representative will handle order processing, cash transactions, and maintain customer relationships while contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service, and/or inventory control required.
• Proficient in handling cash transactions with accuracy.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Google.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a drug-free environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Enter orders and process cash and charge orders.
• Assist with reconciliation and bank deposits.
• Communicate timely and effectively with distribution managers or account managers regarding customer-related changes.
• Inquire about and provide information on cost, ordering, and delivery times via phone, email, and in person.
