About the position

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) at Johnson Controls is responsible for interacting with existing House Accounts and York Dealers to enhance sales and margins of residential and light commercial HVAC equipment and supplies. This role involves maintaining ongoing relationships with assigned accounts, providing quotations, entering orders, facilitating returns, and performing post-sale tasks. The ISR will also engage in proactive sales calls and marketing communications to drive revenue.

Responsibilities

• Interact with existing House Accounts and York Dealers to increase sales and margin of HVAC equipment and supplies.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with assigned House Accounts and York Dealers.
• Make occasional sales calls to the customer base as appropriate.
• Provide quotations for residential and light commercial HVAC equipment and supplies.
• Enter orders and track shipments as necessary.
• Facilitate product returns and train customers on warranty processing.
• Send out marketing flyers, special offers, and other revenue-producing communications to customers.

Requirements

• Associate of Arts Degree (A.A.S) required, with a minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
• 4-year degree preferred with a minimum of 1 year of sales experience.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, freight, and margin rates.
• Ability to solve practical problems and communicate resolutions effectively to customers.
• Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and general knowledge of quotation and order entry software.
