About the position

The Inside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in the manufacturing industry by acting as a vital link between the company and its customers. This position focuses on supporting the sales function through effective customer interaction, order processing, and maintaining accurate records. The role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, emphasizing the importance of customer service and sales skills.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently handle inbound inquiries from customers, including requests for quotes, returns, orders, and other queries.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing relevant company products and solutions.
  • Verify incoming orders received via various modes of communication such as telephone, fax, and email, and route them appropriately.
  • Work closely with the Sales Support team to update internal records with key information about customer accounts.
  • Use your skills in Sales and Customer Service to identify decision-makers and key personnel within customer accounts.
  • Actively engage in email correspondence and data entry tasks to ensure seamless operation.
  • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required.
  • Assist the outside sales representative with order entry and customer service requests.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Sales and Customer Service roles
  • Proficient in Order Entry and Data Entry tasks
  • Excellent Email Correspondence skills to communicate effectively with clients
  • Ability to use CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite proficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills for converting leads into sales
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address client issues effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and data entry tasks
  • Willingness to continuously improve product knowledge and sales skills.
