About the position

The Inside Sales Representative at Anchor Pump is responsible for providing exceptional service to industrial clients, recommending technical solutions, supporting outside sales, and generating complex quotes. The role requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and technical proficiency to deliver timely and accurate solutions to customer applications. Training will be provided on various technical duties and software used in the role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and cultivate positive customer relationships
• Provide price and availability on standard or specialty items directly to customers
• Take and solicit orders from customers over the phone and via e-mail
• Process orders via order entry system from stock or directly source from suppliers
• Expedite orders and maintain contact with customers and suppliers
• Follow up on orders to assure critical deliveries
• Resolve any order problems related to delivery or paperwork issues directly with customers and suppliers
• Handle all inquiries/contacts in a professional manner
• Work in concert with the outside sales team; funnel leads/opportunities to the sales team
• Resolve product issues or determine product needs over the phone or via e-mail

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Strong mechanical aptitude is a plus

• Experience using manufacturers' selection software
• Troubleshooting technical problems
