About the position

The Inside Sales Representative at Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc. is primarily responsible for providing counter sales support at retail locations. This role involves engaging with customers both in-person and over the phone, processing orders, and assisting with merchandising and promotional sales. The representative will also support outside sales personnel and provide leadership in the absence of site management.

Responsibilities

• Provide counter sales support at retail locations.
• Assist customers in person, over the phone, and online with order processing and account management.
• Follow up on leads and assist in developing sales for industrial, commercial, and residential customers.
• Manage merchandising, stocking, and pricing responsibilities, including special sales and promotions.
• Learn the product line to effectively explain product benefits and features to customers.
• Organize work, problem-solve, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Deliver excellent customer service in a dynamic setting.
• Support outside sales personnel as needed.
• Provide supervisory and team leadership when site management is absent.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills.

• Experience in sales or retail is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of product features and benefits.
