About the position

The Inside Sales Representative at Best Equipment Company is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to the outside sales team and valued customers. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring their needs are met with prompt and accurate responses. The position requires strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality results and maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with assigned outside sales teams and customers via phone, email, or chat, providing professional and courteous assistance.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience by actively listening to customers, understanding their needs, and offering appropriate solutions or recommendations.
  • Prepare and deliver timely & accurate quotations.
  • Deliver customer order packets timely and accurately for order placement.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth order fulfillment and timely delivery.
  • Provide customers with order status updates and tracking information as needed.
  • Develop a deep understanding of products, services, and offerings.
  • Assist customers with product-related questions, providing accurate information, specifications, and features.
  • Troubleshoot basic product issues and provide guidance on usage or problem resolution.
  • Document customer interactions, issues, and resolutions in the CRM system.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by providing personalized service and demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Complete administrative duties such as updating customer records and generating reports as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in customer service or related role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, Office Suite & computer proficiency.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Positive attitude and a genuine desire to assist and satisfy customers.
