About the position

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) plays a crucial role in supporting the sales and operations of National Trench Safety by addressing customer inquiries, managing sales documents, and ensuring effective communication between customers and various branches. This position is essential for maintaining customer satisfaction and compliance with safety regulations, as it involves resolving complaints and providing necessary data to customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Receives and responds to all customer inquiries, orders, and complaints.
• Generates all sales operations documents (invoicing, contracts, pick list, packing list, returns) and distributes them to respective departments.
• Guides, assists, and elevates complaint resolution to ensure proper customer service.
• Provides customers and other branches with requested data and backup information.
• Follows up regularly with customers, branches, and shop/yard operations on open and unresolved customer issues.
• Reports on all out-of-line conditions affecting customer satisfaction.
• May take after-hours calls for security and customer complaints, documenting them for resolution.
• May open and/or close operations facilities in some branches.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Requirements

• Minimum one year experience working as an Inside Sales Rep or on a sales desk preferred, preferably in the construction equipment industry or underground safety rental industry.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge or ability to learn Microsoft Office, Infor, and Salesforce CRM.
• Basic knowledge of operational processes related to deliveries/pickups in the rental industry.
• Reliable transportation.
