About the position

The Inside Sales & Service Manager at Able Distributing is responsible for managing a team of sales personnel, setting performance expectations, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role involves recruiting, training, and developing staff, as well as analyzing financial reports to drive sales and improve operational efficiencies. The manager will also engage in community marketing efforts to attract and retain customers while maintaining a safe working environment and safeguarding company assets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, recruit, hire, develop and train a team of sales personnel.
  • Set clear performance expectations and goals for teammates and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Work with PCM to establish revenue and margin targets and individual sales goals.
  • Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to increase sales and improve operating efficiencies.
  • Manage customer contacts and relationships to provide excellent customer service and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Attract and retain customers through local marketing efforts and community engagement.
  • Conduct business in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and safeguard company assets.
  • Complete required safety and compliance training programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales; contractor sales preferred.
  • Minimum 1+ years of leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center and effective sales techniques.
  • Possess leadership qualities and be viewed as a leader.
  • Experience promoting a productive and positive team environment.
  • Strong work ethic and high standard of integrity.
  • Ability to build and maintain quality relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
  • Strong personal sales skills and ability to lead a sales team.
  • Ability to interpret financial report data and adjust business plans accordingly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and operate computer systems for order processing.
  • Ability to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
