About the position

This position involves supporting the sales process through administrative tasks, including preparing and submitting quotations, maintaining records, and interfacing with internal partners. The role is essential for ensuring smooth operations within the sales department of a company that specializes in military and industrial products.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit quotations as assigned
  • Maintain quotation files and record product quotation data in required spreadsheets or databases
  • Perform general administrative tasks including filing and data entry in spreadsheets, word documents, and databases
  • Maintain records for all quotations assigned in Box
  • Provide assistance by phone and email to sales representatives and customers
  • Enter all orders as assigned into SAP
  • Resolve order issues such as late orders or wrong products sent
  • Interface daily with internal partners including Accounting, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, and Operations functions
  • Attend sales meetings and customer/product training programs as deemed appropriate
  • Perform other administrative tasks relating to the sales process as required

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business or related field preferred or work equivalent
  • Government sales and Federal contracting experience a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred
  • Ability to practice confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of mail processes such as Federal Express and UPS
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work a varied schedule and willing to work overtime when necessary
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with customers, employees, and managers at all levels
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Experience in computer-based timekeeping systems preferred
