We are looking for an Inside Sales/Warehouse Associate to be part of our dynamic team in Omaha, NE. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient delivery of products and maintaining the organization of our warehouse. You will be responsible for driving a truck with a capacity under 5 tons to transport materials to various destinations, including plants, construction sites, and offices. This role requires a blend of driving, customer service, and warehouse management skills, making it ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this position, you will coordinate daily deliveries with the Delivery Coordinator, ensuring that products are loaded correctly and delivered safely to customers. You will also assist in receiving and stocking products in the warehouse, filling customer orders, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Your attention to detail will be essential as you inspect the delivery truck, keep accurate logs, and comply with safety regulations. You will represent Indelco Plastics by maintaining a professional appearance and providing excellent customer service, whether through phone calls or face-to-face interactions at the City Desk. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily deliveries with the Delivery Coordinator, ensuring timely and accurate transportation of products.
  • Properly load products and materials onto delivery trucks, double-checking against shipping papers for accuracy.
  • Deliver and unload products at customer locations, collecting payment if COD and obtaining signatures for receipt of goods.
  • Inspect the delivery truck daily, checking tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, and complete Vehicle Maintenance Request forms as needed.
  • Maintain an updated truck driver log and comply with all legal requirements for driving.
  • Receive products by unloading vehicles and inspecting goods for discrepancies or damage upon delivery.
  • Convey products to designated storage areas according to predetermined sequences.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and prepare them for shipping.
  • Assist in the general upkeep of the warehouse, including cleaning and organizing inventory shelves.
  • Ensure safety in the work area by keeping walkways and loading docks clear of ice and snow, applying salt or sand as necessary.
  • Inform customers of available products for their applications via phone or in-person at the City Desk.
  • Assist City Desk personnel and Warehouse staff as needed, performing other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager or Customer Service Manager.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Above average human relations skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Accurate and detail-oriented, with good mathematical aptitude.
  • Self-motivated and able to work consistently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to locate missing products in the warehouse and backtrack actions of other employees.
