About the position

The Inside Sales position at Taylor Wharton is responsible for selling services and goods to clients while managing various project-related tasks. The role requires effective communication with customers and collaboration with internal departments to ensure timely order processing and customer satisfaction. The individual will also be involved in preparing bids, handling inquiries, and maintaining customer files.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare bids and quotes for parts sales, repair services, and new equipment.
  • Handle customer inquiries and manage sales orders from opening to closing in a timely manner.
  • Create customer files and perform data entry, including preparing reports on quotations and sales orders.
  • Serve as a liaison between outside sales, engineering, production, and purchasing departments regarding parts.
  • Track parts sales from procurement to shipping.
  • Interact with customers to address and resolve questions or concerns.
  • Provide customers with schedule updates on a weekly or monthly basis as required.
  • Work with production to receive current updates.
  • Attend mandatory production meetings.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with all employee levels.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Some familiarity with PDM software.
  • Experience with Microsoft NAV, Business Central, and project management software is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak basic English.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Background in project management or sales is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined.
