About the position

As an Inside Sales Representative at Rain for Rent, you will play a crucial role in supporting the branch sales force to achieve and exceed revenue goals within your assigned territory. This position involves prequalifying leads, generating quotes, and taking orders to enable the sales team to focus on face-to-face sales opportunities. You will coordinate customer expectations for delivery and installation, maintain good public relations, and ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and support.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound sales leads to convert leads into sales or refer them to field representatives or partners as appropriate.
  • Meet or exceed assigned quarterly sales quotas.
  • Make outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers or partners to qualify leads and sell solutions.
  • Build and maintain customer and/or partner relationships, emphasizing marketable features, quoting prices and credit terms, and preparing sales orders.
  • Assist Outside Sales Representatives by scheduling appointments and meaningful selling interactions.
  • Update and maintain CRM records such as contact information, activities, accounts, leads, and opportunities in coordination with Outside Sales Representatives.
  • Act as the main point of contact with customers to take basic orders and assist with change orders.
  • Support the sales team in quotation generation, customer follow-up, and accessing information about specific customers.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and appropriate company departments to resolve issues such as accounts receivables.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and enter new customer data into the CRM.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher.
  • Experience in sales, particularly in industrial rentals and pumps.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Project management experience, preferably in environmental or construction settings.
