About the position

The Telemarketing/Inside Sales Representative at Akicon Inc. is a full-time role focused on driving revenue growth through lead generation and sales strategies. This position involves engaging with potential customers via various channels, managing the sales cycle, and collaborating with the sales team to develop effective business strategies. The role requires some travel for industry conferences and trade shows, making it essential for candidates to be motivated and results-driven.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize creativity and tenacity to develop new business leads through various engagement tactics.
  • Call inbound leads and provide product information to potential customers via online platforms.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities for business development.
  • Manage the sales cycle from lead generation to pipeline progression, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate record-keeping in CRM systems.
  • Engage management to interact with key stakeholders at prospective accounts.
  • Attend industry conferences and webinars as required, traveling approximately 10-15% locally and nationally.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and contribute to the company's growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years inside sales and telemarketing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience creating leads, cold calling, and moving prospects through the sales pipeline.
  • Experience in CRM systems (Salesforce, Sugar, Hubspot, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Willingness to learn and work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic sales environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter mentality with a passion for driving results and achieving targets.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in kitchen and bath sales is a plus.
  • Experience in sales for at least one year is preferred.
