About the position

The Tent Sales Manager at PEAK Event Services is responsible for overseeing the Woburn Tent Sales and Administrative Team, managing customer service, and driving sales strategies. This role involves hiring, training, and developing the sales team while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The manager will also collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution and will report directly to the VP of Sales - Tent Division.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Tent Sales & Project Management Team.
  • Implement results-driven sales programs to meet annual sales goals.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Manage and provide reporting on the Sales Pipeline and existing account growth.
  • Develop new business and expand services to the existing customer base.
  • Identify opportunities with existing and new customers, venues, and markets.
  • Manage annual projects, account growth, and processes.
  • Respond to customer issues by collaborating with sales representatives and contacting customers directly when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other Tent Team Directors and Managers to ensure a smooth customer experience from sales to event execution.
  • Meet regularly with the VP of Sales - Tent Division to develop and implement sales goals and strategies.
  • Provide sales information to the company's Senior Management team.
  • Identify new product and service opportunities using customer feedback.
  • Track the commission program for the Tent Sales Team.
  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring of Tent Sales Team members.
  • Analyze and monitor the results of the Tent Sales Team, both individually and as a department.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and manage team schedules.
  • Build an open-communication culture within the team.
  • Coach, train, evaluate, and monitor sales representatives' performance.
  • Collaboratively work with operations teams across all locations.
  • Manage the calendar for Tent Sales Consultants and Project Managers on job sites.
  • Oversee the use of project management tools and foster internal collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Event rental industry experience is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with Production or Project Management, Operations-heavy companies, and Sales strategies.
  • Strong focus on customer and client services.
  • Experience in Customer Service.
  • Experience with CRM software and ERP systems preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of the event planning process and mechanics of executing successful events.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and a 'Make it Happen' attitude.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and exude confidence with clients.
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles.
  • Highly motivated with a 'whatever it takes' approach.
