About the position

The Inside Territory Sales Manager at Daikin is responsible for engaging with COD House Accounts to enhance sales and foster customer loyalty. This role focuses on increasing sales of HVAC products to smaller commercial accounts, meeting established sales targets, and nurturing key accounts to transition them to outside Territory Sales Managers. The position requires a results-driven individual with a passion for sales and strong relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, maintain, develop and grow a volume-driven and profitable base of ~50 Inside Sales Key Accounts.
  • Nurture and develop Key Accounts to graduate them to outside Territory Sales Managers.
  • Backfill Inside Sales Key Accounts from the region's House Account list when accounts graduate.
  • Coordinate with the ASM to confirm accounts ready for graduation to TSMs and facilitate account transfers.
  • Maintain and improve sales revenue and gross margin.
  • Recruit new dealers and provide training and support to develop their business.
  • Develop proposals for presentation to prospective customers.
  • Maintain customer relationships through proactive communication with decision makers and support personnel.
  • Directly manage all aspects of the ISR Key Account customer base.
  • Update and maintain customer and sales information in CRM.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with corporate office staff and field sales organization.
  • Provide local market intelligence and feedback to the Sales Manager.
  • Develop an annual business plan detailing activities to meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Manage all sales activities from lead generation through close in an assigned territory.
  • Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • HVAC experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with customers and employees
  • Analytical skills to forecast channel sales and results
  • Proven record of achieving planned quota
  • Self-disciplined individual able to manage a territory from a home-office base
