About the position

The Inside/Trim Sales Representative at Carter Custom Millwork is responsible for selling interior trim products and providing exceptional customer service to contractors and do-it-yourselfers. This role involves assisting customers in making purchase decisions, processing sales transactions, and ensuring that customers have all necessary items to complete their projects. The representative will also handle inventory control and maintain effective communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and increase sales of interior trim products.
• Measure and quote jobs for interior trim products, ensuring timely ordering and shipping.
• Build and maintain customer relationships by providing advice, timely estimates, and following up on sales calls.
• Provide superior customer service to meet sales and profit goals.
• Follow up on online customer quotes and log updates in the Quote Management System.
• Support the outside sales program and contractor customers as directed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a sales/customer service environment.
• Experience selling interior trim products.
• Knowledgeable in basic construction and capable of reading blueprints.
• Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability.
• Experience with interior door and trim take-offs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with effective communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team member and participate effectively.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
