About the position

The Insider Threat Exit Risk Program Lead at Capital One is responsible for overseeing the Exit Risk Mitigation (XRM) program, focusing on the monitoring, detection, triage, analysis, and investigation of departing associates. This role requires program-level planning and support, as well as collaboration with various teams to enhance the effectiveness of insider threat detection and response processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform programmatic planning and development support for XRM program maintenance and growth.
• Understand the XRM program controls and processes for enhanced monitoring and access controls.
• Develop and maintain XRM program plans and documentation with attention to detail.
• Effectively communicate with IT&TI teammates, leadership, and other stakeholders.
• Develop, follow, and maintain process playbooks for operational investigative workflows.
• Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process or alert improvement.
• Exercise discretion and professionalism in sensitive investigations.
• Work with alerting and monitoring technologies to refine investigation procedures.
• Use technology and operational processes to enhance user-based threat detection.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 4 years of experience in cybersecurity or information technology.
• At least 2 years of experience with project or program management.
• At least 2 years of experience analyzing information and data.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 2+ years of experience supporting cyber investigations and incident response.
• 2+ years of experience in insider threat with relevant certifications (CFCE, CCE, GCIA, GCIH, Security+, CISM, CISSP).
