About the position

The Insights and Analytics Consultant at Steelcase is responsible for leading quantitative research projects that leverage both internal and external data sources to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making. This role involves problem definition, data manipulation, visualization, and the implementation of analytical models, all aimed at helping stakeholders make informed decisions based on comprehensive market analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantitative research projects using internal and external data sources to answer complex questions.
• Manage and engage diverse stakeholders, building explicit project scopes to meet business needs.
• Communicate actionable insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a data scientist or quantitative researcher/analyst.
• Bachelor's degree in data science, research, statistics, economics, psychology, mathematics, or a related area.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate degree or relevant specialty preferred.
• Experience with market analysis/evaluation, market sizing, and market forecasting.
• Experience with high-volume data management, manipulation, analysis, modeling, synthesis, and storytelling with data.
• Proficiency with descriptive and inferential statistics; advanced statistics a plus (e.g., logistic regression, factor analysis, clustering).
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Stata).
• Familiarity with survey methodologies and Qualtrics.
