As part of the Insights and Strategy team for CHEP Americas, the Insights Data Science Manager will play a crucial role in developing, communicating, and leading the execution of macroeconomic and market analysis that informs strategic decision-making and operational performance. This position focuses on supporting the development of statistical models that connect macroeconomic and market activities to company performance, while also managing the communication of these insights to key stakeholders. The Insights Data Science Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced statistical models to forecast market trends, consumer behavior, and business outcomes. This role will utilize predictive analytics to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities within ideal customer profiles. The manager will analyze diverse data sets to uncover patterns, correlations, and insights, leveraging modeling outcomes to provide actionable recommendations for strategic positioning and operational improvements. Additionally, the manager will use modeling techniques to analyze competitors' strategies and predict future market movements, providing insights on potential competitive advantages and threats. Crafting detailed reports and presentations that distill complex models and analyses into understandable and actionable insights is a key responsibility. The manager will engage with teams across the organization to provide analytical and modeling support, ensuring that strategic projects are grounded in solid data analysis and predictive insights. This role operates across three regions: the U.S., Canada, and LATAM, and involves problem-solving that ranges from routine to complex, requiring analytical and innovative solutions. The Insights Data Science Manager will work autonomously with limited day-to-day interaction with the line manager, operating in a matrixed environment and recommending budgetary spend.
