About the position

As an Inspector-Assembler (Manufacturing Operator) in the Commercial Group at Newell Brands, located in Winchester, VA, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process. Reporting directly to a manufacturing supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively within a team to assemble and package products according to specific manufacturing specifications and quality standards. This position requires a keen eye for detail, as you will be responsible for reviewing operator instruction sheets to ensure that each product or component is assembled correctly and meets the established quality benchmarks. In addition to assembly and packaging, you will conduct regular inspections of manufactured goods to verify that they adhere to quality standards. This involves using a computer system to report any defective pieces or issues related to the manufacturing process, product, or machinery. Maintaining a safe and accident-free work environment is paramount; therefore, you will be expected to adhere to safety standards and proactively identify any safety concerns that may arise during your shift. Keeping your work area clean and organized is also a key aspect of this role, contributing to overall efficiency and safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and/or package manufactured goods.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred; experience will be considered in lieu of education.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to lift 40lbs.

Nice-to-haves

• Must be a team player and able to communicate effectively with co-workers and leadership.
• Forklift experience required.
