About the position
The Inspector - Receiving position at Talascend involves performing manual and clerical duties related to the receiving of materials, supplies, and equipment on the manufacturing floor. The role requires attention to detail in verifying the completeness of received items against documentation and maintaining accurate records. The inspector will also handle damaged or misdirected goods and route materials appropriately within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and clerical duties involved in receiving materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Utilize computers to enter transactions, validate information, and maintain the database.
- Unpack and examine items received, verifying completeness against bills of lading, invoices, and other records.
- Keep records of goods received and reject damaged, excess, or misdirected goods, processing necessary paperwork.
- Route materials to inspection, storage, or other destinations, and operate mobile equipment as needed.
- Answer inquiries concerning the status of rejected or other goods.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an Inspection Manufacturing setting.
- Previous Manufacturing experience.
- High School Diploma (no Bachelor's degree required).
- Computer literacy, as all work is completed on a computer.
Nice-to-haves
- Inspection experience with a microscope and printed wire boards.
- Ability to read blueprints.
