About the position

The Inspector position at Twining Consulting, Inc. in Sacramento involves performing structural inspections and quality control for various construction materials and processes. Responsibilities

• Provide structural inspections of reinforced concrete, structural steel welding and bolting, structural masonry, and spray-applied fireproofing.
• Conduct grading observations and compaction testing on soils, aggregates, and asphalt.
• Document project grading activities and maintain detailed inspection reports.
• Perform sampling and quality control of concrete, rebar, shotcrete, mortar, and grout.
• Prepare reports for special inspections in accordance with the California Building Code and approved project documents.
• Support the Project Manager to ensure the testing program aligns with the construction schedule and sequencing.
• Maintain detailed documentation of inspection reports, laboratory testing reports, and related project documents.

Requirements

• Valid Certified Welding Inspector certification (AWS Certified Welding Inspector License is a plus).
• Nuclear gauge usage certification.
• ACI Field Technician Grade 1 License.
• ICC Soils Inspector License is a plus.
• ICC Reinforced Concrete License.
• ICC Structural Steel Welding and Bolting License.
• ICC Structural Masonry License.
• ICC Spray-applied Fireproofing License.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Microsoft Word.
